WORKERS COMP, ELECTIONS, & ESCALANTE GRAND STAIRCASE

Day 17! Pastor Brad Kramer of the Japanese Church of Christ offered the opening prayer.

Today’s big issues on the floor were HCR 12 Concurrent Resolution Urging Federal Legislation to Reduce or Modify the Boundaries of the Grand Staircase-escalante National Monument. The resolution passed the Senate and has been sent to the Governor for his signature.

Afternoon floor time (watch it here) covered a few large issues, including: Senator Mayne read a citation honoring Workers’ Compensation and others who work together for work place safety in our communities. Also, HB 16 – floor sponsored by Senator Dayton – which focuses on reviewing and updating voting machines and was passed to the 3rd reading calendar.
