HALFWAY THERE!

Day 23 and we are officially half way through the 2018 Utah Legislative Session! Floor time today began with a prayer given by Reverend Gregory Johnson – Standing Together Ministries and the pledge by Senator Mayne. Senator Iwamoto’s SB 57 Police Service Animal Amendments, increasing the penalty for killing a police K-9, generated some great discussion on the floor, where it passed 20-6-3 to go over to the House. Senator Henderson’s SB 119 Special Group License Plate Amendments, honoring Utah women being the first to vote, passed 25-0-4 to be sent to the House. Senator Iwamoto passed SCR 6 Concurrent Resolution Recognizing Utah Honor Flight Program unanimously.
