Utah State Senator representing [parts of] Davis and Weber Counties The Retirement Committee was unanimous in approval of the Surviving Spouse Bill. It raises the cap on death benefits for the spouse of a member of the police public safety retirement systems. This bill is of special importance to me because I work for the public outside of the Legislature, have seen firsthand the needs of this group of people. If anyone out there has anything to add, I would like to hear it.
