Since the
Beginning, we've used
Blogger to post info to SenateSite.com. However, they are
shutting down FTP publishing on May 1.
So we'll build something new, somewhere else.
We're looking at Wordpress with modifications to incorporate the Twitter stream and Facebook action.
Any advice?

Who needs the Senate Site when we have Paul Rolly?
Word Press is great and all (I use it), but has been a target of some exploits. As with everything, make sure you keep it up to date. A cacheing plugin is also recommended.
Tom: Thanks for the info.
Anonymous: That's funny.
I use WordPress. It is a great product. The modifications will take some expertise, but the plugins help a lot with that.
You can get some twitter plugins, but I haven't found one that works like I want.
I use Wordpress, too, and I like it.
Do what I'm doing -- call Scotty Riding!
My heart skipped a beat when I read the headline on facebook! For shame, Mr. Cantrell! For shame! :-)
I vote for Wordpress too. Keep it updated- I was once hacked by some folks in Iraq!
Wordpress also has really cool plug ins. I think you'll really enjoy tinkering with them Ric!
Consider me another vote for Wordpress. I've been using it for many years and have no complaints. It's also very easy to customize with plugins and themes. Security can be a concern on a poorly configured web host, but both plugins ages the core have one- button upgrades now.
Gracias amigos-- that is helpful. See you after the jump.
