   Dear Senator Buttars,

   As a parent of 3 Students in the Salt Lake School District , I am continually disturbed by the continual message bills that Our states elected officials are wasting time and my money with. We all know that we are last in the nation in per pupil spending and when I hear of budget cuts to schools, increase class sizes, and seismically unsound building’s (My kids attend LOWELL ELEMENTARY.) and now to hear you are talking about taking over our “socialized” school boards it frightens me. What are you talking about. On one hand you are sending dozens of message bills to the federal government indicating that we don’t want interference from the federal government and that we can better manage our state at a local level, and on the other hand you send a message to local school boards that the state representatives can better manage the schools from Capitol Hill? If this was not enough to get my hackles up, MY home on 1452 East Hudson Ave, was levied a SPECIAL EDUCATION TAX in of approximately $180/ year. And all of it going directly to Jordan School District. WHY DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR JORDAN SCHOOL DISTRICTS ILL FATED SPLIT (to pay for NEW SCHOOLS) WHEN MY KIDS ARE IN NEED OF A NEW SCHOOL BUILDING?! WHAT IN THE WORLD IS GOING ON HERE! PLEASE GIVE ME SOME ANSWERS!
