It wasn’t all fun and games on Wednesday. In addition to immigration, Edu-Jobs money, Medicaid epidurals, and all the other committee work, the Utah Senate voted on six of Governor Herbert’s commission appointees and two new judges.
The Judges:
Robert J. Dale, confirmed as a judge on the Second District Court.
Michele M. Christiansen, confirmed as a judge on the Utah Court of Appeals. (Wiki)
The Other Appointees:
Ernest Dee Rowley is appointed to replace Gary Ott as the Elected Official on the State Records Committee.
John “Lex” Alexander Hemphill is reappointed as the News Media representative on the State Records Committee.
Stephen R. Richards is reappointed as the Private Business Community representative on the Purchasing From Persons with Disabilities Advisory Board.
Gary R. Hancock is reappointed as a member on the Real Estate Commission.
Louis James Cononelos is appointed to replace John Y. Ferry as a member of the School and Institutional Trust Lands Board of Trustees.
M. Curt Howell is appointed to replace Earl F. Hurst on the Defined Contribution Risk Adjuster Board of Directors.
