One person said it this way:

This morning, Senator Madsen’s SB259 Medical Cannabis Amendments was made public. Shortly thereafter, he visited with members of the media in the Senate President’s office to discuss the proposal. If you’re interested in the content of the bill, or if you’re writing a school paper about medical marijuana and need some concise arguments, or if you live in the state of Utah, this conversation is probably worth a listen.

The bill will be in committee tomorrow morning at 8am. After that, Madsen will be holding a press conference. After that? We’ll see. Follow along with the bill’s progress by using the ‘Status’ tab on this page throughout the session.

[Update:] Here’s a video of the press conference that was held this morning.

[Update 2:] And here’s a radio interview – Madsen on Rod Arquette, 2/26/2015

  1. J.M. Bell says:

A small, good thing happening in the middle of so many sad stories. What a shame that it takes this magnitude of suffering to even flick the very edges of the lawmakers. A little blip of hope for so many people suffering.

    Mosiah 4:16
16 And also, ye yourselves will succor those that stand in need of your succor; ye will administer of your substance unto him that standeth in need; and ye will not suffer that the beggar putteth up his petition to you in vain, and turn him out to perish.
